For the porch, the yard or the party - set the sound before the doorbell starts.
Give your door a sound.
Say what the guests walk past and how young the youngest one is. Creaky Porch scores a looping soundscape for it - wind in the eaves, an owl, a far-off howl, a creaking door - and plays it live from sixteen voices synthesised in your browser. No recordings, nothing to download until you want the WAV. Tune it on the jukebox, then check it still suits the little ones.

The WAV is one loop, mono at 22,050 Hz, so it sounds the same from one porch speaker; a 4-minute loop is about 10 MB. Set your music player to repeat it for the night. Playing here instead keeps the screen awake while the mix plays.
